Intermediate Quilt Pattern: Flying Leaves

Katrina Thomas

Deep, rich colors convey the feeling of autumn in this throw designed and made by Katrina Thomas of Pleasant Valley, New York, and quilted by Kay Oft of Mountaintop Quilting, Lenox Dale, Massachusetts. Although the quilt appears to have circles, there is no curved piecing. Thomas used Deb Tucker's Studio 180 Design Square and Diamond Rect tools to cut and construct her quilt, but our pattern calls for templates.
