Readers' Quilt Show: Jewel Pearce Patterson

The Jewel Pearce Patterson (JPP) scholarship is named in memory of Quilts, Inc. President Karey Patterson Bresenhan's mother, a quilting teacher and a founder of the International Quilt Association. Each year the recipient wins an expense-paid trip to the International Quilt Festival in Houston, Texas, where she took classes. When Lisa Walton, a quilting teacher of Leisham, NSW, Australia, learned she'd been named the recipient of the 2010 JPP scholarship, she invited students to create quilts around the theme, "Textured Treasures".

See the Jewel Pearce Patterson quilts featured in our Readers' Quilt Show of Quilters Newsletter August/September 2012.
