Readers' Quilt Show: Route 66 Quilts

In 2012 a group of quilters created quilts to commemorate America's favorite historical highway, Route 66. Take a trip down memory lane with various sights and sites from times past, the theme of this nostalgic collection. You'll find a selection of the quilts in Quilters Newsletter October/November 2013, and find even more in our digital issue AND online Quilt Gallery!

Pictured: I Love Texas
Pictured: I Love Texas, 24" x 30", by Marilyn Egler of San Juan Capistrano, California, in the Oct/Nov 2013 issue. Brought back a lot of memories of when I lived in Eastern NM 100 miles West of Cadillac Ranch. Drove by it many, many times. Was great to see this in your magazine. Love your magazine. Have been reading it far before (1984) I started quilting in 2001. Dee Grove, Council, ID
