Download and print the free full-size foundations and quiltng motif for Rachel Wetzler's Tropical Radiance. Get the complete pattern in December/January 2012 issue of Quilters Newsletter, page 80.

Please note: When downloading and printing a PDF that has size-specific material such as templates, applique patterns, and quilting motifs, you must turn the scaling to "off" to prevent your system from defaulting to settings that may shrink the page and distort sizes. In the print dialog box, look for the drop-down menu next to "Page Scaling." You'll have a few options depending on the computer system you are using. Choose "None" before you hit print. And always make a test unit or block before cutting into expensive fabric.

Tropical Radiance Quilt
Looks like a great project and a long one. I really enjoy tackling hard projects. It helps me learn more, especially since I've only been quilting for 2 years. Good luck to whoever tackles this project. If I can help in any way just email me. dkvanderbur@yahoo.com

Help! I really would like to make this quilt and have reread the directions numerous times. I have purchased some fabrics after I saw it in the last issue. Since I know I want the 4 large spokes in the center to be the same fabric, I suppose I start there. I have the colors for the diamond shaped creams and greens blocks, so do I do those next? I have never attempted a quilt as difficult as this one. I have learned when doing a quilt that you break it down and do one piece at a time. I would appreciate any helpful comments. Email is: jeanfroelich2002@yahoo.com Thank you.
