Saturday I attended Brini Maxwell’s Crafts for the Masses: Tassel and Pom-Pom-athon. The event was part of Denver Public Library’s Fresh City Life. DPL has partnered with local businesses to offer free and almost-free public events, workshops, and classes. Denver locals can choose from KnitFlix films, Street Food cooking demos, the Summer Beatwave music series, DIY crafts, and more. Cyclists can even learn basic bike maintenance on the Acoma Plaza. And oh yes, let’s not forget those pom-poms.
