Maison de Garance by French General for Moda Fabrics

Each issue of Quilters Newsletter the editors make a block to showcase one of four new fabric collections. Deciding which block  will best show off the fabric is a never-ending challenge. The  October/November 2010 issue I got the gorgeous Maison de Garance by French General. I needed a block with big pieces ’cause I didn’t even want to cut the fabric!  After much searching I found this beautiful peony by Kumiko Sudo. I used 15 different prints from the collection, and think it turned out pretty good. I hadn’t paid much attention to the offerings of Moda Fabric’s French General before, but wow– I am certainly on the hunt now.
