So What Month Is It?

Happy Hollydays

Magazine publications have a long timeline. We start an issue in one month, finish it in another and by the time it is mailed or on the newsstand, we are deep into another issue. We have spreadsheets for the entire year of production. Right now, our staff is wrapping up your Febuary/March 2011 issue. So you will forgive me if I think Thanksgiving and Christmas have come and gone. Alas, no. I’ve celebrated and decorated on our magazine pages, now it is time for me to look to my home.

QNMS Weekend COVER 231x300 So What Month Is It?

One of my favorite pieces is Happy HollyDays. I designed it to be seasonal. It comes out before Thanksgiving and stays out through January. We photographed it as a wall hanging, but you can also use it as a tablerunner. The pattern is available in Best Weekend Quilts if you want to make your own. After all, it’s only November. Plenty of time for holiday decorating.
