AAQI – EQ Contest

Back in October we announced a contest where we teamed up with Ami Simms of the Alzheimer’s Art Quilt Initiative and Electric Quilt. Contestants had to design a quilt, donate it to the AAQI, and let us know their AAQI registration number. We received 41 valid entries. The quilts are pictured below and we would like you to help us pick three winners!

You may choose up to three quilts to vote for, and may vote once between November 29, through December 3.

Some people entered multiple quilts, but each person may only win one prize, so if one person’s quilts land in multiple spots in the top three, we’ll choose the next quilt in line. The makers of the top three quilts will receive the following:

First Prize:

Second Prize:

  • A SideWinder portable bobbin winder by Wrights
  • Seven and a half yards of fabric from the Gingerland collection by Terry Perry for Northcott fabrics

Third Prize:

  • Five and a half yards of fabric from the Holly Holiday collection by Laurie Godin for Northcott fabrics

    How do we vote exactly?
    Thanks for this exciting contest!

  2. Hi Lynn,
So sorry – it took us some time to figure out why the poll wasn’t showing up, but it’s been fixed. The poll itself is on the left hand side. Just check the boxes for the 3 quilts you like best.

    Thanks!

  3. Lynn Makrin says:

    Peace!!!

    Kelly,
You said there were 41 valid entries, “We received 41 valid entries.” I only see 40 quilts on this page. Was 41 a typo, or are you missing a quilt photo?

  9. Kaitlin Callahan says:

Cast my vote for “Jazz Sax”!

  10. Brenda – there were 41, but then we found out that one was not eligible. I wrote the post last week and didn’t find out about that one ineligible quilt until over Thanksgiving.

  11. Kaitlin – make sure to vote in the poll on the left hand side of the page. That’s the only way that votes can be counted!

  12. Carol Seufferlein says:

    Beautiful Quilt!!!

  13. Joy Churchman says:

Now that I have seen the vote totals, I see that my concept of voting for what seemed to be technical excellence in the work wasn’t a particularly popular concept. But there was no criteria established, so I guess it’s all perfect.

  14. Sally Noonan says:

I voted for the three that I thought best fit the theme, but they’re all lovely. Great work, designers and quilters.

  15. Love your Santa. Hope it goes to a nice home!
    Happy Stitching
