SEWING FOR SUPERHEROES

by Susan E. Geddes

Awhile back I took a break from quilting and made two capes for some super hero relatives of mine. Thought you all might want to see the follow-up. I recently spent some time with these two little fellows and the older one told me all about superheroes, right down to their real names. Lots of fun.

How absolutely cool is that?! When I was a kid, superheroes had to use a bath towel for their capes and clothespins to hold them on. None were as cute at those you made!

I love your cape. Last year I made a cape for my 7 year old grandson. He also wanted one for his dog, Xena, a 120 lb German Shepard mix.

Imagination and childhood are a volatile mix. You did a great job assisting the flights of fancy.

the smile on the little guys face is adorable…inspires me to make a cape for my two yr old grandson, and watch him run around the house…
