Kids fabric contests coming to Facebook

We have been having a great time over the past few weeks with the kids fabric giveaways here on our blog. It’s given us a chance to tell you about Best Quilts for Kids and give fabric away to avid quilters while hopefully offering some inspiration for your next kid quilt.

For the past few weeks we’ve been telling you about our plans for a “Facebook-only, one-day contest blowout” in mid-July. If you’ve been wanting to know more details, then keep reading.

Here are the three most important things to know:
1) The contest date is set for Monday, July 18.
2) This will be a Facebook-only contest, which means you will have to “like” Quilters Newsletter on Facebook in order to participate.
3) You will need to have a copy of Best Quilts for Kids 2011 close at hand.

Here’s how it will work: starting at 9:00 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time (our office is in Colorado) on July 18, and continuing every hour on the hour until 5:00 p.m. MDT, we will post a contest question on the QN Facebook wall regarding Best Quilts for Kids, the answer to which will only be found in the issue itself. The first person to comment with the correct answer will win the prize being offered for that hour. It’s as simple as that! The action should be fast and furious, but you’ll have nine — nine! — chances to win free fabric in just one day. Pretty good odds, we like to think.

We still have more weekly fabric giveaways coming here on the blog, so this won’t be your last chance to win kids fabric from us this summer. But we have a lot of fabric to give away, more than weekly blog giveaways can handle.
