[Please note this giveaway has ended.]
Welcome to this week’s Best Quilts for Kids free fabric giveaway! This is going to be a fun giveaway, because although we used this collection for a quilt geared toward a tween or teen girl, there’s nothing juvenile about it.
This week we’re giving away a bundle of 20 fat quarters from the Flora Bella collection from P&B Textiles.
We featured prints from the collection in our pattern for Sweet Girl (65″ x 83″), which you’ll find on page 77 of Best Quilts for Kids.
We like how the pattern can be used to showcase large-scale prints. The center patches of the 16″ blocks finish at 7″, allowing for all sorts of fussy-cutting possibilities. Or you can just dive into some fabric you love and let it do the heavy lifting, like we did with Sweet Girl.
If you’d like chance to win the Flora Bella collection, leave us a comment before 11:59 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time on Friday, July 8. Comments left after 5:00 p.m. will be approved the next business day, so don’t worry if your comment doesn’t show up right away. We will pick one comment at random, and the winner will receive the fat quarter bundle and a copy of Best Quilts for Kids. (If you’ve won something from us in the past 3 months, you’re not eligible for this prize.)
Good luck! Don’t forget, Best Quilts for Kids is on-sale on newsstands, quilt shops and bookstores, and online. Check back again next week for another kids fabric giveaway — the best way to learn about giveaways and contests is to follow us on Facebook (which is where we’ll be holding our one-day fabric blowout on July 18!).
UPDATE 8/3/11: We never heard back from the original winner of this giveaway so we asked the random number generator to draw a new number. Congrats to #9, Shirley in Canada! Shirley, we’ll contact you to get your mailing address, or you may feel free to contact us at submissions@qnm.com.
