It’s here! Best Quilts for Christmas from Quilters Newsletter is officially on sale! We’re excited to finally see it in print and we hope you find holiday inspiration among its 28 patterns and projects.
Speaking of patterns and projects, did I mention that there are 28 of them? They range from small projects like modern potholders, traditional stockings and fun wine gift bags, to wall hangings, table runners, tree skirts, throws and full-size bed quilts. We’re going to highlight a selection of them in the weeks to come through our free Christmas fabric giveaways. But Christmas is only four months away (!) and we know you’ll want to get sewing as soon as possible, so be sure to check out the issue in the magazine section of your favorite quilt shop, craft store, bookstore, newsstand or online. At only $9.99 for 28 patterns and projects (more than you’ll find in most pattern books), it’s a fantastic value.
To get the fabric giveaways rolling, this week we’re featuring this bundle of fabric from Maywood Studio, Olde World Style by Monique Dillard.

I’ll be honest — I don’t know how much fabric is in there. The package is so pretty I don’t want to unwrap it to measure the large pieces, but I know that at least one of them measures two yards. There appear to be 24 fat quarters and yardage of four striking black-and-cream prints. This is a very generous prize package courtesy of Maywood Studio/E.E. Schenck.
We featured Olde World Style in At the Chalet, designed by Kelly Smith, which you can also glimpse on the cover of the magazine.

You’ll find the pattern for this beautiful 63″ x 63″ quilt on page 46 of Best Quilts for Christmas. It’s a great example of how to pair an easy-to-piece two-block pattern with sophisticated prints for a quilt with continental flair.
