I woke up to sunshine this Valentine’s Day. I love that and lots of other things about today. Love that I have a great husband, family and friends. Happy that the biscotti I made for work today turned out looking great and tasting great. Love that my brother, who is in Denver on business today, will be able to meet up with me and we can spend a couple of hours together.
I love the work I do. The days and weeks are never boring. Really love that the April/May 2012 issue of Quilters Newsletter is at the printer and should be on the newsstand in a couple of weeks. The issue will have a quilt of mine which also has a love connection. Poppies on the Fence was made for my niece’s recent marriage. The wedding colors were gray and orange. I wanted similar colors in the quilt and the Gallery Fiori collection by P&B Textiles did the trick. I chose a simple, modern pattern that shows off the beautiful poppy print.
I love that Steph and Jon were thankful for my time and efforts. I have six more nieces and nephews and I hope that they all find love. I am already planning the next wedding quilt, just in case love comes unexpectedly.
Yes, all in all, a very lovely day.
