I read this regularly and enjoy. My sister, daughter, and I, quilt all the time .Now we are working with several women and children who are learning to sew, quilt, knit, or crochet. Most of our quilts are donated, now especially to wounded warriors.

Our local shop, Kountry Kin in Rich Hill, is having sewing classes of all kinds that day. Will be working on a new First Saturday block, a class to learn how to make aprons out of tea towels and other sewing projects. We will have loads of fun all day!!!

Our quilt guild always has our community project sewing day on National Quilting Day. After our regular meeting, we clear the meeting area, set up tables & chairs for sewing, cutting stations, and tables for layouts. We usually work for about 4-5 hr. and finish quilts made by members, use up blocks already made & start new ones. In December of each year, we donate the quilts to two childresn groups, the Salvation Army & other causes. We also donate several quilts during the year for variou local charities for raffles. Thanks for the Wonderful free pattern, I’ve already sent the link out to many guild members.
