It’s been one year since Kaaterskill by Janet Atkins was lost in transit. We featured Kaaterskill as our June/July 2011 cover quilt. It’s 81” x 81” and is entirely hand appliqued and hand quilted. We continue to hope that this beautiful quilt will be recovered in good condition. If you’ve seen this quilt or have information leading to its whereabouts, please contact Janet Atkins at RAtkins@aol.com.

The thought of this beautiful quilt gone missing gives me a stomachache every time I think about it. Someone needs to come up with a place the perpetrators can turn it in, no questions asked. Maybe an address to mail it to, so they don’t have to worry about being found out. Amnesty. It would be worth it, to get it back.
Bjohn, I have no interest in prosecuting or blaming anyone. I just want my quilt back!
I think its sad that someone would do this. I know you are heart broken. I pray they would find it in their heart to return it especially since you are not filing charges but if they don’t remember what goes around comes around. I know that doesn’t give you much comfort but if the person who has your quilt maybe just maybe this will help them do the right thing and return it. I hope they so read this and take a moment to think how they would feel if they lost something so precious and dear to them.
Oh my, I take old copies of QN from the library and I have just been reading this article all weekend. Prayers that your beautiful quilt will be located. Your quitling is amazing.
