[Please note this giveaway has ended. Thanks to all who entered!]
Are you attending Spring International Quilt Market in Kansas City this weekend? No? Neither am I. My coworkers Bill, Lori and Joli are there, as are quite a few of our colleagues from Quiltmaker and McCall’s Quilting, which means the office has been very quiet the past few days, even quieter than normal.
I’m OK with holding down the fort here — I have plenty to do what with working on Best Christmas Quilts 2012, and I know my husband and infant appreciate that I don’t have to travel for work just yet. But the problem with living in this age of social media is that when I hopped on Facebook this morning while downing my first cup of coffee, my newsfeed was clogged by updates and pictures from everyone at Market. I felt distinct pangs of envy looking at photos of the folks waiting in line for last night’s Sample Spree. All the booths look so beautiful, the schoolhouse events look so interesting and I would not at all mind having an adult beverage at one of the evening cocktail receptions. (I don’t get out much these days.) Sigh…
So, because I’m hoping my coworkers bring back new fabric collections that I can pet next week — meaning we need to clear some space — and, well, because I can, I’ve decided that those of us who aren’t at Market deserve a little fabric-and-notion fun, too. Which means it’s time for a giveaway!
I chose three fabric collections and three notions. Three people will each win a fabric bundle and a notion. Think of it as a mini-sample spree that you don’t have to pay for. Take a closer look below:
This updated country collection from Pat Sloan (who is at Market, according to my Facebook newsfeed) was released in summer 2011.
The warm and traditional Heartstrings by Whimsicals just hit quilt shops in March.
The vintage English-inspired Athill Range collection by Cabbages & Roses for Moda was also released in March 2012.

DotDotStitch pincusions, Cathy Miller's "Little Crazy Quilt" CD, and a kiwi strawberry pincushion kit
As for notions, we have a set of four pincushions from DotDotStitch.com; a kiwi strawberry cupcake pincushion kit; and a copy of Cathy Miller’s “Little Crazy Quilt” CD. Regular QN readers know that we profiled Cathy Miller as well as the Panguitch Quilt Walk, the subject of one of her songs, in the April/May issue, and we tell the story behind a large crazy quilt that sold for over $70,000 (no, I did not misplace the comma — $70K) in the June/July issue.
OK, the sample spree is open for the next 72 hours! Leave a comment below before noon MDT on Monday, May 21, 2012 for a chance to win one fabric bundle and one notion. You may specify your favorites and we’ll do our best to honor the winners’ wishes. One comment per person, please. Open to those who haven’t won something from Quilters Newsletter in the last 90 days.
Good luck! Remember, the best way to keep up to date with our contests, giveaways and other news is to follow us on Facebook.
UPDATE: We have winners! Congrats to Mary J., Linda K. and Pamela B., and thanks to all who entered.
