Good morning all! Today is Day 10 of the 12 Days of Best Christmas Quilts Blog Tour and we’re excited to be featuring two more of our wonderful contributing designers from Best Christmas Quilts 2012! You can pick up this newest issue from Quilters Newsletter at your local quilt shop, bookstore, newsstand, or online at the Quilt and Sew Shop.
Our first blog stop is Crafty Garden Mom from Tanesha Nurse. Tanesha is an inventive fiber artist whose unique quilts and creative edge is what caught our eye when looking for new designers. We discovered Tanesha after browsing through quilters’ blogs and invited her to submit. We’re always interested in seeing new, original, and unpublished designs and patterns. You can always submit your projects and ideas to Quilters Newsletter at quiltersnewsletter.com.
This charming wall hanging, Christmas String, brings a feeling of nostalgia to the room and pairs perfectly with her innovative mug rugs. Using the brightly colored selvage strips as garland for her Christmas trees, Tanesha gives us a new insight on just how much you can get out of your stash.
See more from Tanesha on her blog. If you leave a comment on Tanesha Nurse’s blog by midnight MDT tonight – Friday, August 31 – you’ll be entered for a chance to win a fabric bundle courtesy of FreeSpirit. Comments on our blog will not be entered into the drawing.
Our second designer featured is Nancy Mahoney of Nancy Mahoney Designs. We’ve had the pleasure of working with Nancy several times over the years and have featured many of her gorgeous quilts.
Using fabric from the Luxury Blenders and Suede collections from P&B Textiles, Nancy combined her classic style with tradition and elegance to create Pomegranate Passion.
Find out more about Nancy by visiting her blog. If you leave a comment on Nancy Mahoney’s blog by midnight MDT tonight – Friday, August 31 – you’ll be entered to win a free bundle of fabric from P&B Textiles (the same fabrics Nancy used in her quilt!). Comments on this blog are not entered into the prize drawing.
Remember to follow us on Facebook to stay up to date on the blog tour and other news from Quilters Newsletter. Have a great weekend three-day weekend, everyone — we’ll see you again on Tuesday!
