Quilters Newsletter TV moving to Fridays

Have you become a regular viewer of “Quilters Newsletter TV: The Quilters’ Community” yet? We make a new episode available every week on our website and on QNNtv.com where you can view them for free at any time. Starting next week, we’ll be releasing new episodes on Fridays. We love the idea that we’ll be there to help you kick off your weekend sewing with a dose of quilting inspiration! So check our website on September 14 for our next new episode, which will be the third of our 12-part series with Patrick Lose. I got to play the on-camera host for this special series, but I’ll write more about that next week.

This week, since we’re just about to wrap up our 12 Days of Best Christmas Quilts Blog Tour, I want to stay in the holiday spirit and direct your attention to this week’s episode, “Longarm Quilting Challenges” with ZJ Humbach. ZJ quilted this beautiful Irish chain with broderie perse and a pillowcase binding, designed and made by Joli Hines Sayasane for the Best Christmas Quilts 2012 issue.

In the episode, ZJ and Joli discuss what not to do when preparing a quilt for a longarmer. ZJ also gives insight into how a longarmer decides what to quilt where, even if the quilter who pieced the top has other ideas.

I know I’m biased, but I really enjoy watching my colleagues and quilt artists discuss the ins and outs of quilting. I find it interesting, entertaining and always educational. We hope you do, too!

  2. I’m so sorry that I don’t have a channel to watch your program…I’ll just have to be content to hear/see about it on this website.
    Thanks for what you do!
