Last night Denver got its first snow of the season. Just a dusting, really, but enough of a change from last week’s warm and dry weather to compel me to treat myself to a pumpkin spice latte on my way to work. I know the temperatures will be warming up again in a few days, and a latte won’t sound quite as appropriate, so I decided to indulge.
But I didn’t really come here today to talk about the weather. I need to make this short and sweet so I can get back to working on patterns for our Best Fat Quarter Quilts special issue and articles for the February/March issue. Therefore, it’s time for a giveaway!

Batiks are my favorite. I love the bright colors. When visiting St. Kitts we toured a batik factory and watched them make the fabrics. Incredible process.

Really love this material and would love to create something special with it. Being inspired by my beautiful Tongan friend who started quilting two months ago and has alreally made more quilt then I have in my ten years of quilting.

I have just the quilt I want to make with this fabric but that is if my son claims it for one of his quilts. He loves working with these bright colors. I will let him as he will make a state fair winning quilt. This weekend he will try to get awarded senior award in 4H in sewing. He loves crafts and loves quilting. He know how to put colors together. Area quilt shop encourage him to sew by finding pattern as market and think of him since he was in 4th grade. I get to take his quilts to his football games to keep me warm while I watch him play. Thanks.
