[Please note: This giveaway has ended. Congratulations to Monica, winner of these beautiful prints! Thanks to all who entered!]
I’m going to be a little blunt here in my opening statement and say, I hate January. The holidays are over, and here in Golden, Colorado, we’re stuck in the dead-center of winter: it’s cloudy most days, and if there’s any snow on the ground, it’s dirty and sits piled about as high as the mountains for months. Sometimes it feels like the snow will never melt, spring will never come, and it’ll never get over 50 degrees ever again!!
Okay, maybe not that hopeless.
But in spite of the dreary winter not-so-wonderland, I think a bright, fresh bundle of fabric is exactly what the doctor ordered.
Hello, darlings.
Look familiar to anyone? We featured this collection in our December/January 2013 Staff Picks. Jason Yenter for In The Beginning Fabrics rejuvenates the look of art deco design of the 1920s and ’30s with this unique line. Three bold palettes infuse the strong geometric forms and smooth, organic floral shapes. For our giveaway, one lucky winner will win prints from the sapphire and jade colorways for a total of 20 fat quarters!
To win this bundle of joy, leave a comment by 11:59 pm MDT on Sunday, January 13. We’ll select one comment at random. One comment per person, please. Open to those who haven’t won something from Quilters Newsletter in the last 90 days.
[I would also like to take this time to remind everyone to help us get to 1,000 Twitter followers - we're having a huge super giveaway as soon as we do!]
Remember to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest (if you’re on Instagram, follow us there, too!) to stay updated with all things QN. Until next time, happy quilting and good luck to all who enter!

These colors absolutely “sing” to me and I could dream up ways of using them each and every night of my life and still not run out of ideas. Totally inspiring!
Oh goodie! Another fabulous fabric line I need to find room for in my budget, thanks! It would help to win some…
Beautiful colors and wonderful designs.
Thank you for the chance to win a bundle of J.Yenter’s lovely fabric. He does release wonderful collections. I’m not fond of the dreary days in January either, though today was unseasonably warm with spots of sunshine. It’s supposed to resume dreariness tomorrow.
Thanks for the chance to have the joy of a boost for January.
Beautiful fabric would love to put something together with it.
Just what I need in this gray gray winter to cheer me up.
Mother always told me that I should not say that I hated something, rather I had an intense dislike for it. Keeping Mother’s advice in mind, I note that “I have an intense dislike for winter!” I might be strongly tempted to change my mind if these fabulous fabrics were delivered to my mailbox.
Love these fabrics! We are in dreary winter here in Ohio too. Time to stitch up some pretty spring projects!
Cheery fabric. Love the colors.
One thing January days are good for is quilting! Some new fabrics would add to the fun.
Today it is raining so the high piles are snow are starting to melt. It feels like spring but we will be going back to cold weather next week. This bundle would be a cheery addition to my stash.
That fabric is absolutely gorgeous! What a way to brighten up a dreary January!
Reading all the comments about the snow you are experiencing and the high temperatures in Australia, I realise how lucky we with our mild climate here in Ireland even if it does mean a little bit of rain! I just consider that another excuse to do more quilting!
I love January! It’s a time to regroup after the holidays and keep warm inside with lots of sewing. The beautiful jewel tones and elegant patterns of these fabrics inspire me!
This line of fabric looks like silk. Mmmmm.
