Skiing is a snow storm might not be every girl’s idea of a perfect Valentine’s Day, but it suited me just fine. My husband and I took a mid-week ski day and had over 6 inches of fresh powder to ski. Heaven.
You might ask what this has to do with quilting. Well, not much, but it was a great way for me to recharge. Much as I love quilting and putting together our magazines, videos and quilt projects, sometimes you have to do other things. I love that the quilters I know do lots of other interesting things.
We finished the day off with a stop at CAKE in Georgetown, Colorado to pick up the best red velvet cupcakes ever. Kate is the owner and baker and her shop is funky, fun and delicious. A great finish to Valentine’s Day. I felt the love all day.

So nice to spend a day with your hubby and with fresh powder. No other way to ski in my book. Glad you had a wonderful day!!!!
LOL, we had great, wonderful, scrumptious Red Velvet Cake last night too. Ooh – can’t go wrong!
