[Please note: this giveaway has ended. Congratulations to our three winners: #1 - Kathy, #2 - Pam and #3 - Barbara. Thanks much to everyone who entered!]
We love birthdays. We’ve got a big one coming up, but over at C&T Publishing, they are celebrating 30 years in business, and they’re celebrating all year long! It started in 1983 with a single book – An Amish Adventure by Roberta Horton – and they now have over 400 great titles for quilters, crafters and fiber artists. In 2010 they launched the Stash Books imprint which has been incredibly popular and successful.
So we’d like to help them celebrate! But instead of singing Happy Birthday and giving them a present, we are going to give some of their products away as presents – to you.
Do you like quilting books and products? You do? What luck for everyone!
In honor of three decades dedicated to improving informative resources for quilters, we’ve put together three prize packages for three lucky winners. Let’s take a look at them!
This package will be extremely helpful for those who design or want to design original quilts. It includes a 5-sheet packet of Lesley Riley’s Artist Transfer Paper, which can be used to turn almost any image into an iron-on transfer, and the Essential Sandboard, a portable board that has fine sand paper (for holding fabric in place) on one side and a smooth work surface (for writing, tracing or drawing) on the other. Also included are two great books to help unlock your creativity – Journey to Inspired Art Quilting (2012) by Jean Wells and Adventures in Design (2011) by Joen Wolfrom.
Next up is a package that will bring some color to your life, and help you figure out the best way to use it! We’ve got the Ultimate 3-in-1 Color Tool, a portable tool that will help you select the best color scheme for your project as well as a Studio Color Wheel poster for reference. And we’ll throw in 2 great books – Colorific (2013) by Pam Goecke Dinndorf and Modern Patchwork (2012) by Elizabeth Hartman, so you can make cutting edge modern quilts in all sorts of harmonious color combinations.
Then we have the Quilter’s Delight package, including of a collapsible eco-wheelie tote with a Star Quilt by Mary Knapp printed on it. It holds a lot of stuff (multiple quilts and supplies), but folds up nice and small when not in use. The winner will also get two lovely and informative books, Free-Motion Quilting with Angela Walters (2012) and Making Quilts with Kathy Doughty of Material Obsession (2013). Piecing and applique – covered; quilting – covered; convenient transportation of completed quilts – covered.
To win one of these prize packages for yourself, all you have to do is leave a comment on this blog post before 11:59 pm on Wednesday, August 7th (MST), and you’ll automatically be entered to win. Three winners will be chosen at random. If you have a preference for which items you like, let us know, and we’ll do our best to make sure the winners get their preferred package – though we cannot promise. One comment per person, please. Open to those who have not won anything from Quilters Newsletter in the past 90 days.
