[Please note: this giveaway has been closed. Our randomly selected winners are Claire, Shar, Deborah, Tonya and Laura! Thank you to all who participated in our Best Christmas Quilts 2013 Giveaway!]
Well here we are, it’s Friday and the final day for our Best Christmas Quilts 2013 Giveaway. This week went by pretty fast – we’ve already given away over 20 prizes! But we have five more prizes today, so you still have a chance at that free Christmas fabric!
Just a quick bit of info for anyone who’s just joining us today, this week we’ve been promoting our Best Christmas Quilts 2013 issue. Packed with 27 patterns for every kind of quilter, you can get this issue for just $9.99 at your local quilt shop, bookstore, newsstand, or online at Quilt and Sew Shop.
I’d like to show you just a few more patterns in this wonderful issue, and then we’ll get on to the prizes.
Designed and made by Quilters Newsletter staff, He Sees You When You’re Sleeping is an adorable appliqued pillowcase that is the perfect gift for the kids to open – and use – on Christmas Eve. Have fun with the design and personalize your pillowcase with other whimsical sayings of the season. Be sure to check out all three versions of jolly St. Nick on the pull-out pattern sheet in the issue.
Replace the traditional greens this year with deep, wintery blues and touches of gold. Starry Night was designed by Mari Martin and was inspired by the traditional Goshen star block. ZJ Humbach made this version, using the Holiday Elegance collection from Connecting Threads.
The simple piecing in this elegant table runner will leave a big impact on any holiday table this year. Designed and made by Jen Daly, Winter Flowers is the perfect setting for the delicate hand quilting that dances around the border and flower blocks.
You can see how it got its title; Shine On is a radiant quilt designed and made by Leanna Spanner. Don’t let it’s large size intimidate you (it’ll fit a queen bed), this two-block wonder will allow for early snuggles before you even put up the tree.
Designed and made by QN associate editor Gigi Khalsa, these dainty Eye Candy glasses cases are a easy way to give someone a hand-made, personalized gift. Use a single fabric, prints from a coordinating collection, or try improvisational piecing with a scrappy selection of fabrics. These can be as simple or as embellished as you’d like, so put on your creative cap and have fun.
Hopefully you’ve been inspired by some of the patterns shown today and earlier this week. We’re exciting to offer this new issue and can’t wait to see what readers create!
Oh, and we have an extra bundle of Dear Santa
Each winner will also receive a copy of Best Christmas Quilts 2013 along with their fabric bundle.
We’re extending the deadline for today’s giveaway, so instead of closing entries at midnight tonight, you’ll have the whole weekend to get your name in the drawing. Just leave a comment on this post by midnight MDT Monday, September 2. You can specify which prize you’d like, but we cannot guarantee it is the one you will receive. Only one comment per person please. Open to those who haven’t won anything from Quilters Newsletter in the last 90 days.
We want to genuinely thank everyone for their participation in all the giveaways this week! We appreciate each of our loyal followers and are so happy to see people getting excited about all of the great patterns in this issue. Don’t forget to follow us on YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, and check out our website too!
See you next week, good luck to all participating today!
