5 Days of Best Modern Quilts Blog Tour – Day 1

Modern Cover 200 5 Days of Best Modern Quilts Blog Tour – Day 1

Welcome to the first day of the 5 Days of Best Modern Quilts Blog Tour! We’re kicking off the release of Best Modern Quilts 2014, on sale now in quilt shops and bookstores, on newsstands and on QuiltandSewShop.com in both hard-copy and digital editions.

Here’s how the blog tour will work: at 9:00 a.m. MST on each day of the tour — January 13 to January 17 — we will post here on our blog the link to that day’s featured pattern designers’ blogs. Click on the links and visit the designers’ blogs to learn about the projects or quilts designed for Best Modern Quilts 2014 and more about what the designers are currently up to. You’ll also have a chance to win a bundle of free fabric (which will vary from day to day) and a copy of Best Modern Quilts 2014 by leaving a comment on the designer’s blog before midnight MST on that same day. Note that on each day we’ll have two designers to visit, which means you’ll have a chance to win two different prizes.

Today’s first stop on the blog tour is Fresh Modern Quilts, the blog home of Rossie Hutchinson, our cover designer. Her quilt Prill is a modern take on large flying geese going every which way.

Rossie doesn’t appear to have a blog tour post specifically for commenting on. I commented on the top post on her blog, but wasn’t sure if that will work. ?

Yes, Susanna, commenting anywhere on her blog will work. She should have a post up later this afternoon as well for anyone who wanted to wait to make sure.

Hi! I’ve been trying to post onto Rossie’s blog, but I don’t have any of the required accounts for the ID requirements and therefore my comments are never accepted. How do I go about this?

Jessica, *UPDATE*, Rossie has now fixed it so that you can also comment as “Anonymous.” Please do make sure you leave your name and email in the comment, however, so that you will still be eligible to win the prize.

  9. M Williams says:

I cannot find a way to leave a comment on Rossie’s blog either. I don’t want to download any software. I can’t find a place to leave my name and email address.
