Fool-proof Applique
By Nancy Brenan Daniel
Have you ever heard someone jokingly talk about the "A" word? In quilting parlance, that means applique. If you have been reluctant to try hand applique, this workshop will help you overcome your hesitation. The art and craft of applique techniques aren't hard to learn or to do. However, every technique does take time and practice to perfect. The methods here are back-to-basics techniques. Whether you are a beginner or one who wants to learn a different approach to applique, I hope you will find some workable ideas that will make your next applique project successful. If you want to practice, this project can be used as the center of a small quilt or as a single block in a larger quilt.
Nancy Brenan Daniel is a National Quilting Association, Inc. certified teacher and quilt judge. Her books, Learn How to Do Applique in Just One Weekend and 101 Applique Blocks are published by The American School of Needlework.
