As a new member of the Centennial State Miniature Schnauzer Club, QN staffer Joli Hines Sayasane wanted to help with a major fundraiser. She offered to make a quilt to raffle at the Rocky Mountain All Terrier Club show September 10. Though she is the only quilter in the club, other members contributed to the project. The American Kennel Club provided sketches of all 28 breeds in the terrier group. Joli printed them on fabric, and they became the focus of the quilt, which was beautifully quilted by ZJ Humbach of Nederland, Colorado. A portion of the raffle process will go to Schnauzer rescue and the Canine Health Foundation. To purchase raffle tickets before September 9, visit www.csmsc.org.
