Lori joined the magazine in 2012 and is responsible for securing content, including the magnificent cover quilts. She's a wife, mother, grandmother, quilter, gardener and homemaker.

She said she's been a seamstress "nearly forever" and a quilter since the mid 1990s, and is from a family where quilting and sewing were normal activities. Once she started quilting, it became a passion almost immediately. Her favorite technique is appliqué, but she really likes to put the applique on a patchwork background. She finds it more interesting that way. She also loves to free-motion quilt. Lori's quilts are very personal – one of her sons says that they are like her babies. And she prefers to do all the work from start to finish so she can control the outcome.
